What I tried to make of it was a good play. <!--more-->I hope my progressive readers won&#8217;t be upset\u00a0that I didn&#8217;t allow him to rationalize\u00a0his position personally. (I did have some of his disciples try, which I thought was more true to life.) I also hope my more conservative \u00a0readers won&#8217;t be upset that I didn&#8217;t allow him to defend his position.<\/p>\n<p>I think the Silent Jesus who issues an indefensible teaching and then sits back and lets his disciples argue it back and forth might be the ideal Jesus.
